02 / Connected commerce

Your website and showroom, working together.

Help customers move between the showroom and the website with less friction. We plan Shopify ecommerce and POS around your real stock, staff and fulfilment workflows, then test the details before launch.

Start with how your store actually runs

A showroom display, a boxed fixture in the warehouse and an item available from a manufacturer are different things. We map those differences before deciding how availability should appear online.

  • Review your existing register, ecommerce platform and product records
  • Map selling, stockholding and fulfilment locations
  • Agree which system owns each product, price and inventory field
  • Identify exceptions such as display pieces, special orders and backorders

Connect the everyday customer journey

Shopify can connect online commerce and in-person selling through a shared store setup. We configure and test the workflows that fit your operation, rather than assuming every available feature is right for you.

  • Product publishing and inventory-location setup
  • Pickup and delivery options suited to your stock and fulfilment process
  • Customer, order and refund workflows for the agreed setup
  • Staff access, device planning and a tested launch checklist

Make the limits clear before you commit

Shopify plan, POS subscription, payment eligibility, country, hardware and apps affect the features available. Preparing pickup orders directly in Shopify POS requires POS Pro. Manufacturer availability and lead times need a separate, agreed data source and process.

  • Confirm supported payment providers and hardware for your region
  • Check POS Pro requirements for the workflows you need
  • Review app subscriptions and integration costs before approval
  • Validate international selling, currency and market settings if in scope

Give the team a confident handover

A connected system works best when everyone understands what a sale, return or stock adjustment will do. We document the normal tasks and the exceptions, with test scenarios your team can recognise.

  • Sample online and in-store orders tested end to end
  • Stock adjustment and return scenarios reviewed
  • Pickup and fulfilment responsibilities documented
  • Team guidance and agreed support after launch

A scope you
can understand.

Every engagement starts with your business, your existing tools and your priorities. We agree the deliverables, responsibilities and costs before work begins.

What we can deliver

  • Commerce and POS discovery
  • System ownership and location map
  • Shopify configuration within the agreed scope
  • Integration and exception plan
  • End-to-end testing
  • Staff handover and workflow notes

What we measure: Inventory exceptions and reconciliation issues · Order and fulfilment workflow reliability · Pickup and delivery completion where available · Time spent on repeated manual tasks, when a baseline exists

Before we begin

Good to know.

Do we have to replace our current POS?

Not automatically. We first review what you use, what needs to connect and whether a supported integration meets your needs. Moving to Shopify POS is one option; keeping a reliable existing system may be another.

Will manufacturer stock automatically become our store inventory?

No. Supplier availability and your owned stock need separate definitions. We agree how supplier data is received, how often it updates and what customers should be told before connecting a feed.

Are Shopify, hardware and app fees included?

Platform subscriptions, payment processing, POS plans, hardware and third-party apps are separate costs unless a proposal explicitly includes them. We identify the expected requirements during planning.

Keep it connected

Better together.
